ArrivalAcademy

For universities, colleges and schools

Excited to join. Ready to succeed.

A complete arrival programme for every incoming student, under your name: from the day they accept, through welcome week and into the first year. And a live view of who is ready, who isn't, and who to call.

Why institutions use it

Keep offer-holders close

Something of real value from you as soon as they accept: your welcome, your news and their next steps, while other offers are still on the table.

See who is ready

Who has activated, who has their CAS, visa, room and flight sorted, and who has gone quiet, early enough to do something about it.

A stronger first term

Independent study, seminars, referencing and academic English taught before they arrive, and still there in week four when the pressure is on.

Under your name

Your name, logo and colours on everything students and parents see, with your own page for your welcome, halls, events and contacts.

What your students get

Ready academically, linguistically, culturally, socially and practically

  • 41 short video lessons with quizzes: how study works here, academic English, culture, making friends, health and money
  • An arrival checklist from offer and visa to the first week, with your own steps (enrol online, accept your room) beside ours
  • Your page as a hub: what matters right now, a tile for each topic, halls with photos, and welcome-week events that go straight into their calendar
  • One box to ask anything: matches from your page as they type, and Ari, the AI assistant, answering from your own information
  • Pronunciation practice for international students, starting with the sounds their first language makes hard
  • Subtitles on every lesson in ten languages, and everything stays open through the first year
  • A view for parents in their own language: progress and your page, with nothing they can change
  • A verifiable certificate on completion

What your team gets

A live view of your incoming cohort

  • Your incoming cohort at a glance: added, activated, started, completed, by intake and by country
  • The steps you care about, counted across everyone: CAS, visa, accommodation, flight, and your own
  • Who needs a nudge, soonest arrival first and with the reason; remind one student or the whole list, in your name
  • A Monday email to each of your team with the week's list
  • Which parts of your page students open, and what they search for that it doesn't cover
  • Your team edits your page, logo, colours and intakes themselves; your news reaches students and parents as a notification or an email
  • Every student's progress, lesson by lesson and step by step, and an export to a spreadsheet whenever you need it

How it works

  1. 01

    See it

We walk your team through a sample university — or yours, with your name on it.

  2. 02

    Make it yours

Your team adds your logo and colours, builds your page in blocks and sets up each intake, with a checklist to follow.

  3. 03

    Add your students

Upload offer-holders, add them one by one, or share a sign-up code in your offer letters. Mark each home or international.

  4. 04

    Follow them through

The portal and the Monday email show who is ready and who needs a nudge, up to welcome week and into the first term.

Good to know

Is it only for international students?
No. Mark each student home or international, one at a time or with a column in your upload. Home students get the same platform without the visa, travel, pronunciation and academic English content, and your figures count them on that basis.
Which courses are available?
Starting University in the UK, Starting a UK Pathway Programme and Going to School in the UK, each 41 lessons, plus university courses for the USA, Canada and Australia. For colleges, the pathway course suits international foundation students; a course for vocational and A-level learners isn't built yet.
How do students get in?
Upload a spreadsheet of offer-holders, add students one at a time, or put a sign-up code in your offer letters so students add themselves — with no student list sent to us at all. A direct link from your admissions system is coming next.
Is there an app?
An iPhone app for students and parents, with your news arriving as notifications, is built and in testing. App Store release and Android come next. Until then everything works in a phone's browser, and news arrives by email.
Where is student data held, and what can our team see?
The database and application servers are in London; email is sent from Ireland. For students you add, you are the data controller and we process their information on your behalf under a data processing agreement. The one exception to UK hosting is Ari, the AI assistant: a student's question is sent to Anthropic in the United States to write the answer, without their name or email, and we do not keep the conversation (unless the student reports an answer, which we keep to review). Your team sees progress and checklist steps, never what a student asks Ari; searches of your page that find nothing are shown only once two or more students have made them, and never who. We never ask for passport, visa or financial documents.
Does it replace our own welcome and induction?
No. It complements them: the preparation that happens before students arrive, your own information in a place they already use every day, and a reference they keep through the first year.
How would we start?
With one intake. Your team sets up your branding and page, adds the students, and follows them to arrival; after welcome week we look at the intake together against your own numbers.
